Shadagee: A Lady of Few Words

IMG_0599

Hello. I’m Shadagee, and I’m an old girl of few words.  I’m a “Chow-Lab” mix.  At eleven years old, my life has been interesting to say the least — most of which I’d rather not discuss or even want to remember.  Right now, I just take each moment as it comes.

Nowadays, I get to go for walks, enjoy cookies, and for the first time I am happy to climb into a human’s lap for cuddles.  I don’t like the rain or having my feet get wet and I’m not sure whether or not I like a bath.  My first few baths I didn’t like, but the massage I would get was really amazing, I must say.  The bath does make my skin tingle and I do smell really good when I get dried off with a clean towel from the laundry.

My other dog buddies here at the ranch seem nice, although they enjoy running around and wrestling each other more than I care too.  But I get along really well with them and enjoy their company.  Sleeping on a plush pillow bed is amazing to me.  I just feels so good all over and in the morning I wake up to a bowl of natural food.   So that’s pretty much it.  As I said I’m a girl of few words that only wishes to be loved and enjoy what best life has to offer me.  I feel at home and not astray — or in the way — anymore.

LoveHandlers Note:  Shadagee was rescued from a backyard puppy mill where she had been living her life with a chain around the neck, being fed cake’n icing, and old mildewy dog food; she had rain water to drink when available.  Her ears were infected so bad that the stench of the infection was sickening.  She’s has responded really well to treatments and affection.  She’s a cuddler and is so calm that she simple makes us smile. She is available for adoption to a loving home.
